Success Story: How Cycling Changed Chris's Life!

Since his early 20's, Chris has been on a goal to lose weight. But when he did his first "Ride to Conquer Cancer", he knew that there was more to fitness than lifting weights. He found a new passion!

Cycling has given me a community that I could not imagine living without. Cycling for coffee and allowing my mind to forget about the daily stresses has given me a new outlook on everyday life. 

With the help of his Personal Trainer, Jeroham, and the team at Steve Nash Fitness World Abbotsford, Chris was finally able to achieve his weight loss goal. He went from 310lbs to 190lbs! 


But he wanted more! From placing in the top 100 in the Fraser Valley GranFondo to a top 225 in the Whistler Fondo, he knew that there was room for improvement. Chris then started working on another goal: improve his cycling performance! 

During a journey of smiles, frowns, ups, downs, challenges and conquests, he found not only a new passion, but also a second family at the gym:

You can ask the staff, I am that guy who is always "dancing" and "jamming". Earlier this year the support was amazing during the "Ride, don't hide" event in which I pedalled for almost 3 and a half hours and cycled 105km. Raising money for any cause is a passion of mine!

Chris's fitness journey is not over yet! His goal now is to be top 100 in all events he "race" in.
