Detox Greens SmoothiePreparation:
- 1/3 cup pineapple, frozen unsweetened
- 2/3 cup avocado
- 2 cups organic spinach
- 1/5 cup fresh ginger
- 1/8 tsp cayenne (1 to 2 pinches)
- 2 tsp fresh turmeric
- 1 tsp spirulina
- 1 tsp dandelion extract
- 1 TBSP chia seeds
- 2/3 cup coconut milk, unsweetened (carton/bottle, not canned)
- ½ cup cold water (adjust for your desired consistency)
Protein boost (optional): 1 tbsp all natural vegan or whey protein (we prefer a ½ scoop so it doesn’t take away from the tropical flavour of the smoothie)
Preparation: Blend until smooth.
Greens Immunity Soup
- 3 cups spinach, organic
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 2 Tbsp fresh ginger, sliced
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp fresh turmeric
- 1 cup vegetable broth (chicken broth also works)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp dandelion extract
- pinch salt
- black pepper to taste
- squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice
- Broccoli florets, lightly steamed
- 1/4 cup coconut yogurt (plain)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
1) Put all ingredients (except garnishes) in a saucepan and heat on med-high until mixture is hot.
2) Transfer to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
3) Pour into a bowl and garnish with broccoli florets, a swirl of yogurt, and chia seeds.
