Logan Dube is the District Fitness Manager (DFM) for the downtown Vancouver clubs. As the DFM, Logan works closely with Fitness Managers at each club to ensure Personal Trainers are continually improving and better able to help clients achieve their goals.
Prior to her role as DFM, Logan started off in Victoria as a Personal Trainer, where she then moved from Assistant Fitness Manager to Fitness Manager. Throughout her three years of growth at Steve Nash, she has attended two President's Club Awards, where she was acknowledged by her peers for her hard work and dedication to both her team and the company. We are thrilled to recognize Logan as the All-Star employee of the month - Congratulations!
Why did you apply to Steve Nash Fitness Clubs?
I played competitive soccer for over twenty years, including playing for an NCAA team in Michigan and Liverpool FC in England. During this time, I spent a lot of time training others and really enjoyed it. Before I moved back to BC, I knew I wanted to take that experience and apply to the new Uptown Victoria Sports Club. The brand, fitness-focus, education for trainers, gym design, and types of equipment were a great fit for what I wanted to be a part of, so I knew I had to do it.
What are some of your favourite moments working with the Team?
I have been presented with many exciting opportunities since joining in 2013. As a Fitness Manager, I helped open a new location in Victoria, which involved building and training a team of Personal Trainers. During this time, I came to see and truly understand what the vision of growth looks like for the company, which was very exciting!
I'm currently involved with the Steve Nash community in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. I’ve worked with and (learned from) several clients who have battled cancer, so joining was an easy decision. The community that I have experienced by being a part of this cause has been incredible and it's great to see everyone come together.
What makes a Personal Trainer successful?
Being able to teach and influence others is key. Many people don’t understand how their own body works or what it's capable of, so it's vital that you are able to show them that and then motivate them to reach their potential. Secondly, it is absolutely necessary that you have a positive attitude! A great attitude not only inspires, but it also makes the client experience that much better.
