The hip thrust; yes, it's an awkward movement and looks funny, but trust us when we say it's an important exercise!
It might even be one of the most important exercises and movements that you're NOT doing.
Your glutes are tailored to extend the hip or pull the leg behind the body, so, if your glutes are weak or underdeveloped, your strength, speed, and power are all compromised.
So, if you're an avid gym goer, looking to improve your explosiveness, get bigger, lift more, etc. weaker or underdeveloped glutes will lead to lesser, not-as-effective results vs. having stronger glutes.
