In support of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)'s 7th Annual "Ride Don't Hide" event, Steve Nash Fitness World & Sports Clubs is doing our part to help generate awareness about mental health in British Columbia.
Ride Don't Hide is the largest event in Canada to raise awareness and encourage discussions around mental health. By riding together in plain sight, Canadians are actively changing the stigma around mental health, and raising funds for mental health programs and services in our communities. Steve Nash Fitness Clubs (SNFC) is also proud to be involved in this campaign because it draws attention to the important role of physical exercise in mental health.
Ride (Don't Hide) With Us
On May 9, 2018, SNFC will be hosting stationary cycling stations outside of all our 23 clubs located in BC. Community members are encouraged to hop on one of our stationary bikes if you've ever experienced stress, anxiety, or depression. (I mean, who hasn't?)
In the spirit of coming together to generate awareness for mental health, we also invite all of the other spin studios in BC to join us in this initiative!
At the end of the day, we will tally the total miles ridden at our clubs to show just how many of us are affected by mental health issues.
For every kilometre ridden on those bikes, our team at SNFC will donate $10 to CMHA. We will also donate $1 for every time someone shares an image or video on social media using the hashtag #SNFCRideDontHide.
Please join us on May 9, 2018 to raise awareness
and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association...
and get a little bit of a sweat on, too.
