With some updates to Instagram, the app can now be used for more than turning a 5-minute break into an hour of binging beautiful photos.
Here is how you can use Instagram's Saved Post feature to create your own compilation of inspiring workouts, similar to how you use Pinterest.

How to Save Instagram Posts:
Why do you want to save these? Have you ever seen an exciting exercise in a fitness magazine, or watched someone's "how-to" video, to only forget how to do it, or where you even saw it?
By saving photos and videos on Instagram, you can easily pull them up prior to your workout to plan, or watch them in real time to ensure you have the right form.
- Saving posts: When you're on the photo, click the bookmark icon in the bottom right corner that looks like this:
By doing this, you save into one feed that only you can see. If you want to be a bit more stategic with your photo saving, keep reading!
How to Organize your Photos and Videos in Collections:
Organizing your saved photos into folders will save you time when you're trying to plan out that HIIT workout en route to the gym. It also lets you organize and save all inspirational content – from coveted fitness gear, to home décor.
If you're new to photo saving, there are two ways you can add Instagram Collections to organize this content.
- Option 1 - Save as you go:
When you see a photo you want saved, click and hold thebutton. You will see a page that looks like this:
Here, you can type in the name of a new collection, like "Weight Training" or "Gym Outfits".
- Option 2 - Create Collections in advance:
If you know what kind of inspiration you're looking for, this is a great way to categorize your photos in advance and keep yourself from getting lost in an Instagram hole.
On your personal page, click the. This will take you to the page pictured below. Click "Collections", then click the + button. Below is a little inspiration to get you started.
As you continue through and save more photos, you can select any of the collections you've previously created, as shown below. Or click the + button to add another Collection.
Right now this feature is only available on your mobile device.
