So you've signed up at a gym, now what? The gym can be a little intimidating for first timers so working with a certified personal trainer can provide some direction. Here is how you should choose the right personal trainer for you.
1. Check the certifications
All Steve Nash personal trainers are Nashfit One, CPR, and Dotfit certified at a base level. Furthermore, each specialize in a wide range of programs and are there to educate, motivate, and inspire our members. Speak with the trainer of your choice to get a sense of what they specialize in and how they can work with your fitness goals.
2. What motivates you?
Each person is motivated in different ways to perform. Some respond to the drill sergeant types. Some to the softer more supportive methods. Communicate with your trainer on the best and safest way to get where you want to go.
3. Be specific with your Personal Trainer
Have a specific goal in mind before you begin your personal training. What are you shooting for? A goal weight? More muscle? Faster 100 meter sprint? A higher vertical jump? When your trainer knows your goals, he/she will be able to get you there faster and more efficiently.
